Yes, you read that right. We’re opening an all-new, still-undisclosed Stargaze property in Ziro—just 400 meters from the heart of the festival.

Story In-between

 

Back in 2015, I was just another wide-eyed festival-goer, spellbound by the misty charm of Ziro Valley and the electric vibe of the Ziro Festival of Music. I didn’t know then that one day I’d return, not just as an attendee, but as a host.

By 2019, that love translated into action—and Camp Ziro-Z was born. The idea was simple: create a comfortable, budget-friendly space for fellow music lovers, especially those coming from far corners of the country who might find the logistics of reaching this remote paradise a little overwhelming.

But just as we were picking up momentum, the uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic hit. The festival was called off in both 2020 and 2021. Like everyone else, we waited. And hoped.

When ZFM made its comeback in 2022, so did we. And what a comeback it was. Over the past three editions—2022, 2023, and 2024—Camp Ziro-Z has hosted over 800 guests from across India and beyond. From solo backpackers and indie travelers to friend groups and music-loving couples, we’ve had the joy of watching our small camp turn into a vibrant little community each year.

What makes us different?

Apart from being just 750 meters from the main festival arena, we’ve always focused on community—not just camping. It’s in the shared stories around bonfires, jam sessions under the stars, and warm cups of morning chai with strangers-turned-friends.

As we step into our 5th year of hosting, we’re planning something truly special. Our 2025 edition will be our biggest and most premium experience yet—but still rooted in the same backpacker-friendly soul that started it all.

How it started?

My journey with the Ziro Festival of Music began as an awestruck attendee back in 2015. The sheer magic of the valley, the rhythm of the music, and the warmth of the people left a mark that never faded. By 2019, that love evolved into something more—Camp Ziro-Z was born.

Being from the Northeast myself, I knew firsthand how tough it could be for festival-goers to navigate their way to this remote paradise. So, I decided to offer not just a campsite, but a welcoming home base—a place where travelers could rest easy, make memories, and experience Ziro the way it’s meant to be: up close, comfortably, and joyfully. 

Camp Ziro-Z is more than just tents and mattresses—it’s built from the same love that first brought me to this festival, now shared with hundreds of fellow music lovers every year.
